The Prep School Hockey Federation (PSHF) Board of Directors have approved the expansion of U10, U12 & U14, in addition to already fielding U15, U16 and U18 divisions.
We are extremely proud to announce that what started out as a group of teams playing games has excelled into 6 Showcase Events with a National Championship and is now in the midst of entering their 10th year anniversary this season. The PSHF is designed to provide the top prep hockey programs with competition and exposure to Canadian and US junior programs along with Canadian Major Junior and NCAA hockey programs, with teams ranging from Halifax to Southwestern Ontario. The PSHF teams will compete in a schedule created by members in addition to league showcase weekends providing larger competition pools, culminating with a National Championship in March.
“We have always been interested in expanding the PSHF to other levels and ages. In addition to already running U15, U16 and U18, it was a natural progression for the PSHF to attach Showcase Events for these ages. This expansion goes to show you that Prep School Hockey is on the rise and a great opportunity to combine academics and hockey” said Anthony Miele Commissioner, PHSF.
In the past years, the PSHF has moved players on to all levels of hockey from Junior Hockey in both Canada and the United States, players have been drafted to the Ontario Hockey league (OHL) and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) and NCAA Division I and III commitments.
